Can't stop thinking about another watch...
This should really be diagnosed as a sickness. Hopefully the medicine costs more than the addiction, b/c I want more.
I don't know what it is, but I'm drawn to the really simple (and cheap) Panerai's. Right now, my short list involves.... Tied for first 24Tdial or 210 Second 190 Third 232 Now these are watches that I can actually afford, but it is weird that I really think I'd rather have the "cheap" ones. Am I crazy???? It is funny, but when I first saw Panerai's I told myself I'd NEVER want one of those ugly subs and who would ever want a manual/automatic watch without a second hand?!?!?!? Never say never is what I learned!!! *sigh*

I would place the PAM 232 as number 1
Prices low at the moment,in the secondary market.Maybe it will go lower in 2009,who knows, but at the $6800-6900 mark I think its a great buy. Big,bold, elegant and understated simplicity.I love it !! If I can find one in my part of the woods,I'll grab it !! |

I'm not a great fan of the 24, it's a bit too shiny for me, i prefer the 25 in Ti, they really should have put a brushed finish on the 24 as it's meant to be quite a robust watch.

The 232 was on top of my list after getting a 005 :-)
And next? Hm... It will be a while, but I'm destined to get a 24 some day. Already had a 25 but I found its case too light. I thought I'd never again own a titanium watch but recently acquired a Seiko 6159-7010 - it has more heft! :-) And... if the 232 is too big, you'll be well set with a 210 and replace the hands with gold hands.. Killer imo. To answer your question: No you are not crazy. If you were, I'd have to be too.... |

I'm thinking 177 ti & eventually one day (hopefully) a 233!! I recently picked up a 88 this past November.... This past fathers day the wife & kids splurged on a Rolex GMT Master II C..... This is becoming so addictive... I wish my checking account could keep up!!

It is a sickness...
What first...Daytona or 111? I am scheduled to Pick up SS Daytona Friday but A Panerai AD just offered me a 111 at nearly 20 points off! |

I had the same problem as you guys.
IMO the 190 is the way to go. Similar to the 232 ( gold hands, rad), still very low production while it was out there, and the 8 day JLC movement

Mik, I was wondering the other day if I was the only one with this obsession or sickness about Panerai..... but I'm happy to know that is not only me , I'm in love with the 24 too and think I'll be ready to get in the next two weeks if everything goes as plan

BP Fifty Fathoms , that will be a nice collection!! super nice... when I finally get the 24 I'm only going to need the Fifty Fathoms but that one is a lot of cash, I'm going to need to work extra hard for that

Mik, the 190 is getting more and more scarce if you can source one bro. Great watch, butter movement and more thick than the standard Radiomir in 45mm. Great watch.
