No stock available, maybe it's just me?

So I visited my AD that got me my LVC within a day with only one prior purchase with a buddy from out of town this weekend. I told her if a SD43 came in let me know as I wanted to try it on not necessarily buy it (this was 2 days ago).

So she spots me in the corner looking at Hamiltons for my buddy and says "Stay here I got something for you". I am sure by now you guessed she breaks out the SD43, it was sold to someone but she gave me the look like getting one wouldn't be an issue.

Then I asked to see a BB58 if they had one, goes and grabs one from the back lol, which I have gathered is not easy to get? But I am not a big tudor guy. Last week she also broke out the stainless g shock which is hard to get, but I was too late on pulling the trigger

Still striking out on a BLRO with them lol, but hey whatever!

Just figured I would share this story as it seems like people get alot of tall tales lately. She did say they probably will only get a few things before new years though and rolex does not tell them what they are sending, sounds like she has to say that

Well they are not hard to get, they are hard to pry out of dealers hands.

And since there is no consistency between dealers the internet hype/rumor/hysteria run wild.

Your point is that everyone is complaining that SS models are hard to buy from AD, and prove it by saying you were allowed to try one on that wasn’t for sale?

I don't think the BB58 is really that hard to find. I was at my AD last week and they had three in the case (Bracelet, Black Leather, and Brown Leather). Liked the look from the surface, but the case seemed kind of thick. Quality wasn't at the level of Rolex, but obviously, the price isn't there either.

I agree. Terrible quality

I think most of us agree that they're out there, but getting your AD to admit that, let alone sell you one, is the difficult part.

I feel like its “hard to get” for amateur rolex collectors like me, and depending on which AD you are in as well. Because even spending over 90k at this AD, you are still told that the 116610LV is having a long waitlist.

I got it in 1 day with Only one prior purchase, sure if I pushed same thing win sea dweller maybe a month tops , blro and Daytona no way, but Batman possibly; I’m just saying these aren’t unicorns and the online panic on things like subs, sea dwellers is a little extreme, they aren’t unicorns

Anyways, whatever I don’t care, have fun y’all I’m out for a while, time to work

I've reached out to three AD's, all where I have prior purchase history, about a SD43. Two of them since February, and the third since April. I call regularly, and no dice. One immediately offered a CHNR and/or a DSSD James Cameron and I told them them I'd hold out for what I really wanted. I call my sales people every month to ask, and even have offered to put down a deposit (Rolex "doesn't allow us to take deposits"), but still no SD43. I like supporting small business, but I'm getting tired of the AD's politics - its the same wherever I go. I'll gladly pay a premium and purchase LNIB from David to avoid the "AD treatment"

It's pretty common for the AD to keep hot watches in their safe. Many times they use it as a bait to build the trust. Plenty of great watches out there but they are not an easy catch. Everyone is trying to make the best out of it, sell it to grey, vip customer, bundled purchase, etc.

I agree sea dweller, batman aren't unicorn, but passing the opportunity to buy it is a bit ridiculous. You can always go back and sell it for good $$. Promising without actual selling from AD is a BS for me.

Stock to the AD hasn't much changed, but getting it to the windows sure has. It's now Godfather tactics, you have to make them a bundle offer they can't refuse.

After months of trying and calling three different ADs I finally blinked first by visiting the Omega Boutique down the hallway from one of them. Thirty minutes later I’m a new PO owner. Imagine that.

Decided that I was finally done with Rolex games.
