Agreed. Bought a 5.11 Tactical backpack after a recommendation from my son. It's been round the world [and then some] and looks as new as the day I bought it. Built like a tank and probably have to be included in my will.

Yes the backpacks are brilliant. Have two covert bags in different styles and gifted one as well now.

I broke a buckle on my rucksack a few months ago by slamming it in a car door. I sent an email to their customer service and a few days later a replacement buckle turns up - zero charge. It’s small stuff like that which make a difference and make them my #1 option to look at first for a carry bags.

Ahem..... I am a big fan of Tumi. Maybe none of you knew that.... but in all seriousness, they make a great bag, got a space for your wet/dirtly clothes/shoes.

Not a duffel bag, but this pack has a lot of space! These pictures don't do it justice because they don't show the biggest compartment which is the front pouch under the two straps. This thing holds way more than the duffel bag I used to use.

I have been using the following for a long time. Anyone who reads the newspaper or is/was in finance will attest to that!

I would be reluctant to buy a $300-$500 bag for the gym locker or use a Rolex branded one for the same reasons I wouldn't stick my Swiss watch in the locker. You're just making yourself a target. IMO.

I use a ReddOxx Sunchaser for my personal gym bag. It is perfect! I went through several others that had too many hard to reach compartments or none of the right size ones. The large open body works very well for me. It has enough room for post workout clothes and even a nice pair of EG Galways.

If I need to carry swim gear in there I can, but nothing else easily.

The side pockets are awesome for my personal items but I do recommend adding the keychain clip to ine of the pockets.

After four years, it looks brand new.

It also perfectly doubles as a light weekender from time to time.

I have a distressed vintage duffle with nice heavy zippers and leather handles. Bought it at
J Crew. We travel several times a month and has no wear. love this bag. I expect it will last my lifetime.

Patagonia 60 or 45L black hole is choice. Otherwise its REALLY hard to beat a nike/UA gym bag as my gear gets funky and i just assume pitch it and buy another.

Basically use throwaways for gym bags. Current is a Adidas backpack that was free with a pair of golf shoes. Actually pretty nice bag, useful pockets for all my gym gear. When I took clothes to the gym showered and changed there, I used a leather RL Polo duffle which I have had for many years.

My first gym bag was getting on the tired and funky side so recently went to the Nike store in London and picked this up:

Really tough material, great wet kit compartment, nice hidden pocket and looks great to my eyes.
