I am a huge Star Trek fan. I'm a...uniform wearing to Comic-Con, comm badge tattooed on my chest "super-fan." Fortunately I married a gal that is just as fanatic as I am about Star Trek. I have watched an episode daily (when possible) since 1987. The whole premise inspired me all of my life. My mother told me Captain Kirk used to babysit me, as soon as the theme music came on I would come running, sit and watch in silence. But alas I am "Picard" man, "Next Generation...for life!" So when I started thinking about engraving my watches there was only one place to go for me. I understand that engraving ones watch is frowned upon, but these are my forever watches that will be passed down to my son. So I have two Rolexes currently their engraving are...

Explorer I (217214): "To boldly go..."
Submariner (114060): "...where no one has gone before."

I felt that the quotes not only fit the purpose of the watch, but can also serve as a life lesson. We all should "Boldly Go..."

I have room for one more watch as I have one more quote that must be inscribed "Live Long and Prosper" will go on a GMT. I know engravings can be deeply personal, but if you don't mind sharing. I'd like to see your engraving and maybe you can share the story behind it.

No engravings for me but l like it. I grew up watching Star Trek 1 and loved all things science fiction and outer space. Still do.

I grew up watching the movies with my dad. Can basically recite Wrath of Kahn through The Voyage Home. Love the costumes and the engraving!

I don’t think engraving is frowned upon at all. Worst case scenario you just get a new case back.

A friend was an effects manager at Paramount /Desilu Studio.
He had boxes and boxes of Star Trek scripts, promo photos, props including communicators , phasers etc. in a spare room.
He also had the Genesis Capsule, in a wooden crate with a tag that read “Property of Paramount Studios” in his garage.
We plugged at a party to watch all the lights flash.
He told me that Paramount had a dump on their property where he was supposed to dispose of all the stuff.
He didn’t.
I’ve often wondered how much that Genesis Capsule would be worth to a Star Trek collector today.

A walk-on role on any Star Trek show is number 1 on my “bucket list.” Just give me a uniform and let walk by or I can stand still and point at something or I can hand somebody something.

I worked in the biz for 25 years and also amassed a ton of this junk too. I usually gave it away, my friend is a major ST fan so he got all the ST stuff. Most of th rest went to 'civilians'.

I kinda regret not keeping some, esp. those Paramount Publicity Dept. press kits.

Also, super looking wardrobe replicas!
