Jubilee vs Oyster on DJ41
So I have made up my mind for a DJ41, blue, fluted bezel to join my BLNR. My struggle is between the Oyster or Jubilee.
Both are super comfortable both say "YES" to me. I guess I lean toward the Jubilee as my BLNR is obviously an Oyster. Thoughts / comments to sway my decision one way or the other. This will mainly be more of a dress-ier event watch. My BLNR is my everyday watch. |

If you want dressier then it has to be the jubilee. However nice it may look and feel, I do associate it with a slightly older wearer/audience. The Oyster maybe projects more of a youthful/sportier watch in my opinion.

Jubilee based on your post. Dressier than oyster IMO and provides differentiation from your BLNR. And more comfortable as a bonus. Many on here say fluted/jubilee is the quintessential DJ configuration.

Another vote for the Jubilee. I don’t think either bracelet projects old but the Jubilee is definitely dressier.

Oyster, fluted bezel, blue dial is my preference.

Had the same scenario last month, but everyday wear-ability won so I got the dj41 in blue with smooth bezel on oyster, simply superb and subtle, but when I was considering the fluted bezel it made more sense to go jubilee aesthetically speaking. Excellent choice either way

I agree with previous comments and would still opt for the jubilee if it were me.

Jubilee.
I think you can take off the oyster band from your blnr and use it on the dj41. Im pretty sure I've seen it done before but I could be wrong. Check it out. Sent from my SM-N960W using Tapatalk |

Jubilee since you already have the BLNR.
Otherwise, DJ41 on oyster with fluted bezel, IMO is the most versatile in the Rolex line up and a classy piece. |

Jubilee for comfort and formal occasions.
It’s a classic choice for datejust. |

I was just on your position beginning of this year whether to get it on Jubilee or Oyster. But having a SS Submariner and a white dial SS Daytona that both have oyster bracelet, I end up buying a SS 41mm with blue index, fluted bezel on a jubilee bracelet.

thanks for all the advice / votes of confidence. I was being talked out of it, saying only "old dudes" wear a jubilee. While I appreciate the vote of youth, i'm no spring chicken and am seeking more of a dress watch.
I think jubilee is the way to go. Will post pics upon arrival :) I went from zero Rolex 6-months ago to a BLNR & soon to be DJ :) |

Go for the jubilee. I chose the smooth bezel though because mine was for work so I didn’t want to spend the extras 2,000 for fluted. I am 39 I wear jeans , shorts , button ups expensive and cheap. I have a blnr as well. This jubilee I have been wearing the last 2 weeks night and day I love it. The oyster is just another bracelet that will show scratches easy. Mix it up get the jubilee. It is also light and hugs wrist very well

Buy the watch with the Oyster and then order a Jubilee bracelet to go with it. For and extra $1500 you can have both.

Jubilee and, I don’t subscribe to the connotations of jubilee being associated with the mature/older wearer anymore. That fallacy ended when the BLRO was released. The jubilee is now hipper than the oyster. Fashion is an endless cycle as we all know and the jubilee is back as an icon of taste.

I have my datejust on the super jubilee and just love the bracelet. Incredibly comfortable and matches my white gold fluted bezel perfectly. I'd try both on and pick the one that you prefer.

Jubilee is no longer strictly dressy. I see people of all ages wearing DJs on jubilee. It is versatile.
I am partial to blue dial smooth bezel on jubilee. That’s my favorite DJ configuration. |

Same path I took....
Bought the DJ41 last month. I stated in a previous thread that I would happily consider all the other colours (they all look good!) and fluted bezel - but....I am more than happy with my choice of Rhodium and smooth bezel. However, the one thing I would never change is the Jubilee. It's just so comfortable and makes the watch a lot easier to wear than the BLNR. The DJ41 is getting a lot of love on here, I've noticed. |

thank you, thank you, thank you. blue, fluted, jubilee it is. will have it by weeks end; will post pics upon arrival.
i went back and forth on the smooth / fluted bezel. I really wanted the jubilee and the smooth / jubilee combination (IMHO) just seemed out of place. So I went with blue, fluted, jubilee combination. |
