Maui watch
Just looking to have a little fun on a very cold Sunday
We have a Maui trip coming up in the fall, which watch would you bring from the collection? I only like to travel with one watch so bringing multiple is not an option BLNR - has the GMT function and good WR just may be a bit flashy OP39 - more low key, good enough WR, easy to wear comfort Seiko - worry free wear, best WR, may leave me feeling underwhelmed for dinners etc Option #4 buy a Tudor GMT |

BLNR is an amazing vacation watch.
Good for every purpose imaginable.

I wouldn’t worry about being underwhelmed at dinner when it comes to the Seiko. It’s so laid back on Maui, you won’t even realize.
I would wear the BLNR if it were I. |

BLNR on a black rubberb or everest rubber strap is my go-to vacation watch (including a trip to Maui last year). Cuts down on the flashy factor somewhat.

BLNR - I did the same thing a few years ago.
You will see a lot of Rolexes, leaving yours at home is a recipe for regret. |

The Rolex BLNR.
As for GMT Maui is depending on when you go, 3 or 4 hours different than Calgary. They don’t do daylight savings. So a GMT is not really needed. We are there in the fall as well. Maybe see ya there. I speak Canadian. |

I wore my Rolex GMT in Maui the whole trip. Went snorkeling, helicoptering, volcano climbing, beach sitting, whale watching, fine-dining and it was the perfect companion through it all. It was one trip where the GMT function was especially helpful too

Okay. I look at these these watches and all of the are worthy of a trip to Maui. Each one on its own would be fine to take. But when you have the three and are making a choice the OP is tossed out of the running because let’s face it, the BLNR and the Seiko are super cool and belong in Maui hanging ten or five or whatever it is. The BLNR is a beauty and you could get a rubber band and take it but does it really deserve to win out in the battle for Maui? It’s like the BLNR is trying to fit in, and of course is probably the front runner either this rubber revelation, but I’m not quite sold. The Seiko has to have a place in your life. If that Seiko does not belong in Maui then I don’t know what does. His whole life has been built around this very dream. And now the dream is here and in front of him and your pulling him out of the game. I think if you put that Seiko on your wrist you’ll be able to jump from a higher cliff, surf on a bigger wave (or maybe just surf period), and chase the kids around the beach with a newfound speed!
Haha. I just feel bad for the Seiko if he doesn’t get to go. What is he there for if not this? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I know the rule was one watch, but Maui honestly seems like a two watch trip. BLNR and Seiko both deserve to go I think.

Part of me agrees with you I just like the idea of only having one watch when travelling, not having too worry about the other in the room etc. I just make my choice and don't look back lol

Holiday mood, warm climate - nothing too serious.
This trip clearly calls for OP 39. |

. . https://www.asherfergusson.com/must-...ng-list-items/ Valuables suggestion from above site: DON’T TAKE unnecessary valuables – While there’s not an especially high risk of crime in Maui, there’s always some chance that things could get stolen, damaged, or lost on the road. Unless you know you’re going to truly need certain valuable items, there’s no reason to bring things you’d be upset to lose. Have a great time.!
