I agree with the job well done on skeletonizing! Not comparing to the 15407, but I do like that it features more space to best appreciate the skeleton - whereas the 15407 while I love, feels cramped and hard to truly appreciate aesthetics except in ones own space and taken off the wrist.

With this skeleton there is more light that passes through the watch allowing for better viewing pleasure.

Love the write up!

Thank you for this article. It is a lovely piece, but, were i to buy a 175k watch, this certainly wouldn’t be it

It’s too bad AP didn’t launch the 11.59 with just this and maybe the Perpetual Calendar. Even though fewer would be able to afford them, I think they would have actually received a positive reaction overall and created some positive momentum for the line. The skeleton really works well with the case design and demonstrates the potential that it has.

One of my biggest gripes with the whole collection is the font/case inconsistency. Take the back of this watch for example:

1. case CODE1159 in garbage nonsense font
2. case by in new lowercase sans-serif font
3. case AUDEMARS PIGUET in new uppercase sans-serif font
4. mov't AUDEMARS PIGUET in traditional logo serif font
5. mov't 19 JEWELS and 5 POSITIONS in yet another uppercase sans-serif font
6. mov't SWISS in uppercase SERIF font this one is particularly egregious

I mean come on folks.

Good analysis on the choice of typefaces. I never thought of adding this to my review.
