IWC Service/Repair in Los Angeles area?
Hi everyone,
Asking for a close friend about this (who does not know much about watches). He has an IWC Portugieser Chronograph (believe it is reference IW371446) that is not keeping time well anymore. Watch has never been serviced and is over 5 years old. He was asking me for any local recommendations (we are in the west Los Angeles area) for local shops that can do repair work/service IWC watches. He's mainly asking because he's under the impression someone local can do it for less than sending it to IWC for a proper service. Looking at the website my guess is IWC service would cost around ~$600 (before shipping/taxes for a leather band Portugieser Chrono). Does anyone in LA have experience with local shops working on IWC pieces? I have worked with the LA WatchWorks guys in the past on some vintage Rolex in my collection and am guessing he wouldn't really save anything by going that route. Thanks for any help you can provide! |

Sorry, do not know any repair centers in LA. However, my Portugieser returned from warranty service in TX and I was very satisfied with the outcome. I know the cost is important to your friend, I am just highlighting my experience in terms of work done.
