Time to update my wardrobe and looking for some suggestions on buying a few white dress shirts. Something that is high quality and comes in a slim fit while also not breaking the bank. Any good suggestions ? I hear good things about Charles Tyrwhitt but have never owned any. Any help is appreciated!

I don't wear slim fit shirts, but I've had good luck with Charles Tyrwhitt, Thin Red Line and TM Lewin.

I really like my Charles Tyhrwhitt, but my favorite budget white dress shirt (for wearing without a tie) is the Stafford Oxford Slim Fit non-wrinkle from JC Penney. I prefer them to J Crew/Brooks Brothers/Banana Republic oxfords, and they are usually half the price.

Jos. A. Bank because they are the only seller whom I could find that offers the tab collar. To my eye it is a sharp look, appropriate in nearly all business and social setting and seldom seen.

i like Drakes. Made to order, but not quite fully bespoke as you still can't customize all the measurements.

If you dont need fully bespoke its a good option. I quite like them. Its a good tradeoff between off the rack and fully individualized to your body as far as cost vs getting a better fit.

While in my work years I wore mostly shirts from Jos Bank or Brooks Brothers. I always tried to buy them when on sale. Jos Bank would have sales at 3 shirts for about $100.
Now I wear Eton or custom made which provides an incredible fit.

I have two propercloth shirts and they are honestly my favorite from a quality / price range. I have a couple 200+ shirts that to be frank are nothing special. Next update I do will be proper cloth

Go to a decent men's shop or a higher end department store with good inventory. Try on several models and figure out your size in the store. If a model can be found that fits both your body and wallet then buy it. Give it a few weeks of wear to see if it works as well for you in real life, as the store. Send it to the cleaners a few time and see if it holds up. I would buy a classic point collar. No spread, button down or any other fashion collar. Classic two button sleeve with enough room to wear your watch under the cuff. Look online after you have it all figured out. Just my thoughts based on my experience.

Charles Tyrwhitt for lower cost option, particularly good value when on sale.
As mentioned by a couple of others Eton are a nice option also.

Like many here, I prefer brooks brothers. I get the regent fit (formerly slim fit). On sale they’re 4 for $199

I bought three shirts from Tyrtwitt. All three were poorly made with uneven sleeve lengths.
They never answered my email. I use them to work in the barn or mowing. Garbage.

I like Norsdtrom stuff when on sale. Holds up OK and the no iron just requires a touch up. Brooks Brothers OK too.

Neither will compare to tailored but they're fine for my needs.

David Donehue seem to fit me the best. I have tried Charles Tyrwhitt in the past and for the money was not disappointed. Heard good things about Bonobos as well.
