UK Residents - who is your home insurance with?

I'm finding a lot of insurance companies not interested in entertaining home insurance when I have a single piece worth over £15,000.

Has anybody had reasonable home insurance quotes that cover your watches outside the house

Hiscox will cover individual pieces over £15k if itemised. They will cover stuff under £15k without asking any questions other than total cover required. Insurance is worldwide, on the wrist, in the home, wherever. My cover works out as costing circa 1% total collection value per annum on top of basic contents cover.

be careful even attempting to add it to home cover.

there was a thread the other day where some guy tried to add an expensive watch and his insurance dropped him altogether.

Now when applying for new insurance the first question they ask is "have you ever been denied insurance or had a policy cancelled". So the watch is the least of your concerns now if you are going to get hassled trying to get your home insured again.

Its probably workable, but it would stress me out
