Tudor Big Block

I have been looking for a silver 79160/79170 for some time and finally found a well maintained 79170 (all tritium markers intact). Plexi, bubble date, thick case with defined bevels and silver panda dial just checks all the boxes visually. She sits so balanced on the wrist too - What a joy!

Here she is

Very nice example you scored! The Big Blocks are great references that are very underrated. The early examples with the “Rolex DNA” (crowns and casebacks Hallmarked “Rolex”) are very desirable and excellent examples like yours are increasingly difficult to source. Congrats!

Really ticking all the boxes for me this example. I have done some serious internet surfing in pursuit of examples. Been reading an old thread on the forum which is a vast font of knowledge.

Lovely watch you have got there, congratulations and wear it well.

Great choice - with undoubtedly the best automatic chronograph date movement of that era, the Valjoux 7750. Very nice Fred.

Why is the right side one running 3.5 seconds late?

Lovely! I wish I kept all my Big Blocks. I can't find them (for a reasonable price) anymore!
