Best Datejust 41 or II out of these

hello guys i'm torn between these watches could somebody help me ?
i'm trying to find the flashiest amongst them.

Dark Rhodium Diamond Marker Fluted bezel Datejust II year 2014.
Wimbledon Dial Two Tone Datejust II fluted bezel year 2015.
Brand New Dark Rhodium Diamond Marker Fluted bezel DJ41 in oyster/jubilee with new 3225.

does polishing the Datejust (The Preowned) could affect the shine of the watch ? especially the fluted bezel.because i actually doesn't mind about the new movement/the jubilee strap,as long as it could shine the same as the BNIB DJ41,i would prefer to spend 2000USD less by buying the preowned one.

thanks for your helps guys.

I like the proportions (dial/bezel/case) of the DJ 41 more than the DJ II.

All great choices however, I would go with the new DJ 41 simply because of the new movement. I do have a Datejust II & very much like the size.

Best of luck with your decision-you cannot go wrong.

A Jubilee bracelet is generally considered more flash than the Oyster, if that helps sway it.

if you are aiming to get the most flashiest then it has to be on jubilee, so that rules out the datejust 2. go with the dj41, and yes the diamond hour markers are flashy outside of AD lighting

does polishing affect the sparkle in the fluted bezel ? i think it's not heavy polish because the watch is still around 5 years old. the prewoned option

i would not buy anything polished unless its a reputable source and you know it was professionally polished...otherwise we can't tell you without pictures

The Datejust 41 looks more proportionate and fits better Than the DJII. The new movement is great but mine feels a bit grainy when i wind it manually (others have told me theirs are as well). Not a big deal, as this is an issue with only some of the new movements if you can call it an issue at all. Plus it doesn't really matter due to the 3 day power reserve and the automatic winding.

Warmest regards,
Ibrahim AlOthman

I have the Datejust 41 blue dial on Jubilee bracelet. However, I think I like the wider hour indices and stick hands on the Datejust II.

I have owned them both. I had the DJ41 on jubilee. I will say that bracelet is flashier then the oyster but it wears smaller too. I sold the DJ41 and bought the DJll rhodium diamond dial. The bezel on the DJll is much bigger then the one on the DJ41. It also wears significantly larger. My wife loves the DJll over the 41. It’s also thicker so it wears much better. If it was a everyday wearer I would go with the DJll. Now back to the flash part. I have gotten more compliments on my DJll diamond dial then any watch I have ever owned. On the flip side under Most lights the diamonds don’t do much at all. Go to Walmart and they will sparkle like no tomorrow. Go outside and ehh.. I just liked the cleaner layout. The diamonds used on the DJ models are more like diamond chips. And the oyster bracelet really shines in the right lighting. So the flashier watch would be the DJll imo because of the sweet large bezel and the size of the watch overall. The PCLs add more bling then you would think. But more scratches too. Another thing that was annoying on my DJ41 was that the bezel never shined as bright as it does on my DJ41. You can even see it on the pics. Bottom line go with the DJll for more wrist presence. You can even buy a 2 tone used for a good price these days and imo that would be more bling then the diamond dial. But 2 tones are not my thing.

Yes. The DJll sparkles a lot more then the 41. The 41 almost looked muted in comparison. And the watch overall is very slim. And it wears a lot smaller. Imo if you want to stand out get the DJll. I got the diamond dial and I don’t regret it. Just letting you know In most conditions the diamonds don’t pop like you think. They are more for you to enjoy then anyone else. I got mine NOS from David SW. I had to pay a few more dollars for the DJll because of the dial. Power reserve wasn’t a big deal because I have a watch winder. I wanted the watch that looked best on my wrist which is just under 7.5 btw. As much as I want to love the DJ41 I just can’t. It wears too small for me and it’s too slim. For a dress watch it’s perfect. For a daily wearer not for me. The weight difference is also substantial. I put my money where mouth is and truly believe that the DJll is the better watch... for me. Best of luck!

Not a fan of the Wimbledon Dial. I had a DJII silver and while I liked the beefiness of it, I didn’t love the way it looked on my wrist. It felt awkwardly too flat and long across the top. It bothered me enough that I sold it. I think they resolved the proportion issues on the DJ41 and the watch looks better but it’s definitely a slimmer less sporty watch than the DJII.

If you want something that leans more sporty get the DJII, though to most they will look very similar unless you get the jubilee bracelet
