It looks “off” to me,Without doing some serious research I’d hit the Brakes.

is that because of the green color of the lume?

Looks re-lumed to me as well. Without closer inspection, the green looks artificial. I would pass on this one.

Post more photos. One in sunlight.
Who offered you the watch? A know dealer or some random person?

Looks like it is a gilt dial - a poor photograph probably taken under a florescent light fixture which alters the true color of the watch.

I don't think its a relume. There is some kind of lighting going on but looks like a nice gilt from what I see. Need more/better pics to evaluate the whole thing.

I would definitely get new pictures in various light especially sunlight as mentioned. Do due diligence before passing.

Other than the lume (could be lighting) the dial looks wonderful.

This is beautiful gilt dial.

I doubt it is relume. If could be very special zinc sulfide tritium dial which provide green bright lume under strong light.

Can you take some UV shot and observe if it glows and observe how fast it fades?

Need to see it outside in sunlight...looks too green but the tritium looks correct as far as placement so that’s looks original...

Here is mine for comparison.

It would help to see the case, especially the crown guards.

Nice gilt 5512 you have there. Love it

I can see the handsets have the greenish lume to the hour markers plot from your photo. Or is it the lighting plays the trick?

When I bought this 5512 I was told that it was all original, that it had not been relumed. The lume on the hands is more granular than the lume on the plots, and does have a greenish cast. I'm still not sure if it is tritium or radium based lume.

I think the hands are correct as I have seen other example of early sub with greenish hands. :)
