It seems release is imminent. Blue dial and white sub dials. Priced at a whopping $115k.

3 heavy pc pieces to be released. 26579CB white ceramic same price as black. RD2 26586IP ultra thin and 26585CE black openworked. Curious for me to know from the forum which one do u prefer?

130K CHF for a ceramic OW is just nuts - AP taking advantage of the demand.

According to my source OW CE PC is limited to 50 pieces. Maybe the reason why u think it is expensive. Not sure whether RD2 IP will be limited number or not. Someone who know more please comment.

Don't care for the white ceramic perpetual but would love either of the other two, though I don't think I'll have any chance to get them -- I'm still working on getting the "old" ceramic perpetual. Is that expected to be discontinued?

During the following (interesting) January 2019 interview with Hodinkee, Audemars Piguet's CEO François-Henry Bennahmias mentioned that the #RD2 would be released as a 100 piece production run in 2019 in IP form.

Pricing doesn't make any sense. How could they justify the black Ceramic Openworked to be priced at that kind of level? That is even more than the current Ceramic PC.

In steel the opposite is true : the PC is more expensive than the Openworked.

neogump suggests it’s an OW Ceramic PC. That would be one hell of a watch.

Ok that explains it. But I would rather have a OW CE. The a PC the subdials would cover parts of the OW and kill the look for me.

Not sure how they can charge so much for the IP version of the RD2?

Sure its limited to 100 pieces but I assume the movement in time will filter down and will replace all their PC range? So then the IP will just be a regular movement watch I guess.

Exactly what I guess too, existing 5134 almost release all possible varients like last gen 25820-25829 series. Then Cal 5133 based PC could replace whole PC line and start all material over again Like ST CE etc.. in next several years slowly.
Financially it doesn't make sense AP develop something serious in five years but only applies them in 100 pieces. If my guess is true. Then we could just wait until SS version come.
Who knows,JMO.

It's up on the AP website now. Price is $93,900. Wonder if these will be tough to get ahold of? I'm guessing they will initially due to speculation, but I also don't think that this combo will have that widespread of appeal.

I am sure they will be hard to get a hold of, I am guessing if you haven’t been asked about it yet you probably can’t get it :)

Can’t tell if I like it or not, hard to say how the white is going to look, need to see it in a live pic.

Great looking piece. Identical price to the black ceramic PC. Makes sense.
