116610LV ...Are you experiencing the same situation?

For the past one month I have been shopping for watches not knowing the 'frantic' market situation for HULK. During that time the used is selling at around $13k and new is calling at $15k. Now used one is asking for $15k and above depending on the year, while new watch at grey market is asking $18k. How high it will continue to move up? Is this also happening at your country? Mind share the situation over there?

The price will be as high that anyone is foolish or excited enough to pay...

We all talk about the leveling off, but so far no end in sight.

And it’s not just the LV, it’s 95% of them. Who would ever have predicted a 30k Patek 5711 would be in the over 60k range. Or a new BLNR more than a 100% over list.

This makes more sense for the 5711 than the BLNR.

It's a world-wide issue.

Which makes sense. If there were anywhere in the world where a particular, difficult-to-get-hold-of watch was selling for substantially less than anywhere else, demand for that watch would spike as foreign shoppers descended and the price would naturally equalise (roughly) with the rest of the world.

As a Hulk owner I absolutely love it and think it’s an amazing watch. But I would never in a million years pay 16k, 17k, or the 18k the prices have risen to. It’s a steel submariner for god’s sake.

Now the Daytona on the other hand......

You have excellent taste in watches (the Hulk) and you are fortunate to have purchased one at, I assume, a fair price. Enjoy it.

I don't wish to be over critical but the colour of that jumper does absolutely nothing for the watch :P

Nor does that background, he should really redesign his entire house.

It would be interesting to know if the asking on preowned or new is what they are really selling for. I doubt the Hulk is actually selling for grey market asking. Just saying.

It’s every SS sports model. The prices will just keep going up until something changes. Maybe it’s the economy. Maybe its supply. Maybe it’s the cap where consumers won’t pay that much. Until then, expect to pay up by waiting.

I’ve noticed less LV incomings on TRF as of late. Also my AD has told me they haven’t received many this year so far, at least not as many as they usually do by this time of the year.

Natch I sold my LV a few years ago for less than I paid when I bought it. The idea that I could have tripled my money makes me sad.

I think the prices have gotten ridiculous. Like @elee617 said, it's just a stainless sub!

It's a small world these days. If it's selling for that much where you are, it's probably selling for something similar everywhere else as well.

I got my hulk at retail price. Its an awesome looking watch. I could see myself paying $20k for it. I know its silly to pay that amount but it just very special to have it.

Way overhyped, and I have one.

I’d never pay the current prices but the market is what it is.

In my experience, the green dial isn’t THAT green. Under certain lighting conditions it is, but most times, it’s blackish (at least to me), so I get the feeling it’s a new improved Kermit

Used market prices seem to be too good to be true for sellers. So much so that I let mine go. Maybe too soon. Hard to say. But, I did it to move up the chain. I probably wouldn’t have if the market was “normal”.

I'd add a little more cash and get a smurf instead.
I own an LV and it is definitely NOT a $18k watch...
