Hulk Pricing in the UK

Hi All

Anybody know what has made the prices of the Hulk jump drastically the last few weeks?

Are there more discontinuation rumors or just coming into line with the Batman possibly?

There were 3 on Watchfinder yesterday, all at over £13,500 and one of them has already sold; over double retail!

I've bought from Greys before and paid over retail but it's all getting a bit too rich for my blood now

Erlich was a great character. And his relationship with Jian Yang was also fun to observe.

This year prices seem to be escalating, maybe it is the famed but illusive trickle down economics finally at work as Patek prices have gone stratospheric.

Makes sense....The Nautilus range literally jumped 10k + overnight. Shouldn't have passed on that 5990 for £59k a few months back

At this pace, Rolex will be the next Patek and perhaps JLC the next Rolex

Rolex is not even in the same neighborhood as Patek, in fact it is not even on the same damn planet.

True, I believe that Rolex is a long way off Patek. But Rolex is definitely catching up to AP. Or at least trying to do so. Additionally, seems like AP is trying to put themselves in a grave. I mean whole code 11.59 they released is a joke and I think it'll hit their brand perception.

I know that Patek is a piece of art and that Rolex makes more watches in one year than Patek has ever built, blah blah. But they are in the same solar system, at least

A situation 400 years ago regarding perishable flowers is not a great comparison to mechanical watches in 2019.

If/When Rolex discontinue the Hulk, it will go pass US$20K. If Rolex put 3235 movement in Hulk with revised dial marker at SWISS MADE, the new ones will be above US$20K and the old one will be around $13K.

Who knows... but I believe the Hulk is one of the rarest Stainless Steel models in the current line-up.

Agree 100%. And yet seemingly every day someone on here says that the increase in secondary Rolex watch prices is a "bubble like the tulips". Which is total rubbish of course.

You need to research the subject more thoroughly, although greatly exaggerated it did occur.

The comparison made was lighthearted, you need to lighten up.

Supply may not change, but demand will when the economy tanks. Everyone knows that will happen, just not when it will happen.

Trying not to be biased by the fact that I don't like the Hulk at all, I can't see how it could be worth BLNR/Oyster money on the grey market as it's still in the current line up. It just perplexes me.

AK797 is referencing a thread on another forum in which a known scammer by the name of Zilkurrnain Sayub (he has various aliases and has a thread or two of his own in the Watchout! subforum here) claimed to have sold three apparently legitimate LVc's to WF recently.

Nobody has said WF have listed three fake LVc's.

Yes, I don't think the watch pics he has on Insta etc are fake but ofc you don't know what watch you will get sent. And just very disturbing that this guy is a source for a huge grey like WF.
