116619 Available at AD in Colorado

Friends,

In the spirit of watch enthusiasts helping other enthusiasts, my AD just took delivery of the WG Submariner and although not on the list, called and asked if I was interested. As stunning as it is and as much as I wanted to say yes, I have to pass on this one.

So, if there are any locals in the Denver area (sorry but he will not ship out of state) who may be interested in this guy, please feel free to PM me and I’ll send you the details.

As always, pictures are attached.

So weird how this piece is hard to get your way.

My AD has had one in their case every time I’ve been in over this past year.

Thanks guys, just trying to help. My AD has not seen the WG come in for a hot minute, and was told by the rep that there are many allocated for a bit. Take that with a grain of salt since that goes into the "My AD said..."

I wish I could swing it, it is gorgeous....

I have a hard time any PM piece is "allocated'. Especially any full gold Sub.

Don't worry- Govberg has had one sitting in their case for months...pretty much all they have anymore.

Nice heads up Jonathan.

This reference is easily found here. I also saw one just yesterday at the AD in Rome’s airport

Just tried this on in Providenciales. The heft on the wrist gives it an incredibly solid feel. The WG has a luster and luminance that really stands out against SS. Would have loved to pick it up but just looked too small on my monster wrist

what kind of discount should one expect on a full gold piece? If zero then we are really in trouble.

One of my close friends got just under 40% off a gold Daytona last year. I saw the receipt and the bank transaction on his iPhone too!

Does anyone else wish the Smurf had brushed center links or just me?

PCL's are what separate the gold Subs from the SS. I have the YG/Blue and love the center links as is.

Funny you say that, I’ve heard guys (friends of mine) talking about getting the center links brushed. I advised against, but yes I’ve thought the same about the YG sub

How much did he pay before tax? I want to buy one and need to determine if I'm getting a good deal or not. Some ADs just give a high price initially and then give a good discount.

Gorgeous watch. There appears to be more of these types of threads cropping up lately which can only be a good thing. Good to see the real enthusiasts helping the real enthusiasts

I'm in CO and just put one on order with my AD who will treat me well on pricing. None of the CO ADs have ever offered me a discount and yes, I have asked and told them what I can get elsewhere.

By far the nicest sub out of them all. My grail Rolex.

Crown Casino in Melbourne had one for AUD 48,000 last month. It was quickly snapped up by a wealthy tourist.
