Later 90s t swiss t

Do some later 90s t swiss t subs have superluminova instead of tritium?

I thought I read that somewhere. I want to pick one up with real tritium, so I'm not sure if I should be leery of late 90s subs like '98-ish.

I was checking out this one on the 'bay:

Tritium was used until 97/98.

The ebay watch has a dial marked for tritium. It is also has a U serial number - circa 1997.

I've seen U serial numbers marked tritium that glow like luminova. I would check with the seller and see if the dial still glows very bright which would indicate that it is luminova.

Yes, this happened to some of the dials during the cross-over period, although it would be luminova, not superluminova. Rolex didn't start using superluminova until 2000.

What does the U serial number mean? Does it just start with a U or something?
