Good luck when your only AD is a major large chain and you live in a town that is quite affluent.
You get lost and gifts or being nice don’t compete with hundreds of thousands spent.

Last time I inquired about my place in the list for a 126710 BLRO I almost got kicked out. I did ask nicely and it was only the second time in 12 months. I think I'm not rich enough to be deemed "nice", that or I don't live in Utopia.

That lot must’ve been worth several bottles of champagne in tips for the AD

Great Collection! You have a great AD. I lost my usual AD when Rolex dismissed them but have found another and thus far I purchased a CHNR and was texted last night for a BLRO. Feel lucky to have developed a good relationship again.

Am I the only one who thinks it's weird that you have to suck up to a sales assistant in order to make a purchase?

Establishing a cordial, respectful, trusting relationship is certainly not sucking up to anyone. By the same token, if I were the owner of a store I’d probably have some preferred clients. Respect, trust, manners take you a long way, as any fool may have a lot of money. Money is not all.
