Would you trade Rolex 1680 for a Rolex Daytona 116519 - good deal?
I have been offered a Rolex Daytona 116519 for my Rolex 1680. Now my rolex 1680 has a red service dial, so please keep that in mind when considering the deal. I have included photos of both watches.
The Rolex Daytona 116519 is freshly serviced and still stickered up. The 1680 was returned from a service in May. Is this a fair offer? Thoughts? Cheers |

I wouldn’t especially for that version of the Daytona. Keep the sub!

I think its about fair value wise.
I wouldn't do it because I like the 1680 and don't really care for the Daytona on anything but a full oyster bracelet.

It depends, I´m not a collector, then I will go for the Modern Rolex option.

I’d vote for keeping the sub. That Daytona doesn’t do anything for me.

Money-wise about even, but that red Sub is far cooler and much more difficult to replace. You just don't see red 1680s that often with the red service dial, which has its own special appeal.
Keep the Sub! |

I personally would not trade but only because the Daytona does nothing for me. I'm just not a fan of that particular watch.

Nope - not for a Daytona with that dial. Lumed racing arabics, then yes.

I would trade just because I don’t do vintage that glows or replacement parts...

The red sub is going to become irreplaceable. That would be some serious sellers remorse.

Not for that Daytona in leather strap.
Keep the 1680 as it is harder to source one in good/excellent condition, isn't it? |
