Vancouver Canada
Good Afternoon,
Does anyone know of any pre-loved watch stores in Vancouver Canada 🇨🇦. My family and I are travelling over that way soon from Australia so I wouldn’t mind seeing what’s about. I’m not planning on coming home with anything but you never know... Cheers 👍 |

Vancouver has a sales tax of 12%. Not sure if it'd be worth it for you.

Vancouver is pretty bleak for used watches. Otto Friedl and Time & Gold have very small selections. I'm not aware of anyone else in the downtown core.

We are going on holiday there so I am also interested. I said holiday instead of vacation so you'd think I was a posh Brit.

Vancouver has a limited selection on the pre-owned side. Otto Friedl is the main "store" front that has a pre-owned and vintage selection but it is very small (2-cases full max.) as it is a watchmaker primarily.
Time and Gold has an even smaller selection unfortunately. We do have a couple greys around, but without a store front selection. And as far as AD goes, it's the same situation like the rest of worldwide (or maybe worse as the Professional Sports models doesn't even appear in the display case including all SS, TT, and PMs... you will probably only see a YM2 or YM). However, given all that, its always fun to boutique hop on Alberni/Robson/Georgia (all the usual suspects spread across those streets... mainly Alberni, and Patek on Georgia). If you do find something new, even with our 12% sales tax, our MSRP is one of the lowest in the world. With the tax on top, our price is below the US MSRP or on par with the US (before their own state taxes). ... But of course, if you come to Vancouver, enjoy the outdoors (hikes, mountains, beaches, parks), food, etc. Cheers! |

I'm pretty sure Australia has the lowest AD prices in the world as well and with the BC sales tax theres no point.

The sales assistant seemed unbelievably surprised that the shop owner approved my purchase, constantly confirming how lucky I was for his approval. With the Australian dollar tanking vs. the US$, I certainly am grateful. The retail price in Australia is A$15,100 which is US$10,200. That's about a US$1000 under the US MRSP, let alone grey prices. No matter how you look at it, it's a jungle out there! |

I have nothing to contribute to this thread other than the level of service I got at Otto Friedl was awesome.
Oh, and BC is beautiful. |
