Agreed. I even prefer manual wind these days. Easier to maintain and keep in rotation.

Agreed.
There's a lot to be said for the outright simplicity and ownership experience of a manual wind.
The last two purchases in our household were manual winds and loving every aspect of it

Plenty of Bauhaus style watches to suit your preference. Examples include PP Calatrava, some Grand Seikos and Nomos models, to name a few. Classic and uncluttered.

MVMT makes Bauhaus-style watches and some Youtubers say they are better than Rolex. lol

On a serious note, I like all the features you dislike, but vive la difference.

i see your perspective....the Rolex lovers might disagree lol.

why dont you like those features anymore? seems like you've spent considerable money for exactly those features, but something changed?

I can certainly appreciate how sleek and elegant a simple watch is, but to me at least a date window is a must. Now I do wish sometimes cyclops wasn't on the watch, but I still want the date. I check the date on my watch more often than the time. But to each their own.

Doesn't have to be an "all or nothing " deal.

Love the OP's simple elegance Couple that with a polar explorer and a great 2 watch " collection ". Add the Daytona & wow ! You're set

That is a beautiful watch and had it come out before I purchased my Explorer I would have most likely purchased it.

Variety is the spice of life.

There is something satisfying about the simplicity of setting a time-only OP and putting it on.

How long did you own each for? Debating a similar switch. Just fear I will be veryyyy bored after 6 months. Will be interested to hear your thoughts down the road.
