Probably not for awhile in the USA as the last one wasn't too long ago, but it will be 10% in Canada on April 1st.

The price increase will come just before your next purchase!

It is designed that way!

I've only been a TRF member for about six months, but I've found that every couple of weeks, someone reports that they've heard from a reliable source that a price hike is imminent. I think the accuracy rate of these rumours is roughly 1 in 10, though this is strictly a ballpark estimate on my part.

So my advice is - if you really want the watch and have the money, and if the seller offers you a fair price (I'd check TRF and Ebay for reference), then go for it. You'll never be able to catch the absolute bottom in prices when buying (similarly, it's impossible to always sell at the top) unless you're very very lucky.

I recall talking about this with my local AD, who is a good personal friend of mine for many years. He told me that while rumors generally fly around on the subject, it is never pre-announced by Rolex, it just happens with no notice and no fanfare.

Only Rolex has big enough brass ones to raise prices in the worst recession since the great depression. I call that HUBRIS!!

in california starting april 1st we will be having a sales tax increase, LA area will see a 1% - 1.5% increase bringin some areas up to 10.25%! Orange County will be getting a 1% increase bringing it up to 8.75%..... so whether or not Rolex raises prices, the prices are goiong up at the local ADs here.
