Shipping Problems with Expensive Watches

I apologize if this is in the wrong category. Mods please move if i am in the wrong place.

I'm looking for ways to ship watches from Ireland/UK to the United States. Rolex and PP.

I don't qualify for Fedex jewelry program.

And Shipsurance says for a small quantities I should use their sister co https://www.insurepost.com/ BUT the issue with they cap at $1000usd.

Also Shipsurance does not allow international to USA. Only USA to International.

Any advice on how I can do this safely and quickly?

Unless you have a business with tax ID, I believe this doesn't work for the common Joe.... ?

Everyone in US has a quick and easy tax ID for a sole proprietorship that generates income - their social security number. Works for the IRS. Does it not work for ParcelPro?

I couldn't use it the last time I tried; I called them and they said it was only for business that shipped regularly.

I have a similar issue however just within the US. Is there any trick to getting a personal parcelpro account?

I looked into Parcel Pro a while back, but it seemed to be a pain to get set up with them. Talked with them, and decided it was more trouble than it was worth. Not sure if things have gotten easier.

Also, I'd recommend being cautious sending Rolexes from outside of the country into the US. I don't know if it's true or not (or if it's still true), but the word back in the day was you could have your Rolex confiscated if they discovered it in customs. Something about Rolex USA being its own entity and not allowing their watches to come in through any other channels than their official ones. Would appreciate hearing whether that is true or not.

That US Rolex import ban was stopped a few years ago.

I recently tried shipping USPS to the U.K. and they would only insure up to 650.00 and I had to move something worth thousands. They revamped their system again at the worst possible time, Christmas.
Fed Ex told me they only insure up to 1000.00 and recommended a third party.
UPS is who I usually go with. Just dont forget about the Exportation Declaration. It is a pain in the butt, but you’ll get use to it.
When you get into Jewelry it gets tricky.
