GMT-Master 16760

I was just reading this article about the GMT-Master in transition:

http://doubleredseadweller.com/gmt_transition.htm

Has anyone here owned or seen one of those "Fat Lady" 16760's?

Yes. Matter of fact the pic with the 16760 and 16710 in the article is mine.

Tom is one of the most knowledgeable people I know with regards to the GMT series (and quite a few others for that matter). He represents all that id good about this hobby.

That's cool! I didn't know about the 16760 until I read that article, sounds like an interesting (and possibly quite rare) transition model. I also find the thicker case appealing.

If you want to find any good information on Vintage Rolex watches the website of Ed is most of the times a very good source.
And.... Werner, Tom and..... are all good guys with extensive knowledge!

@ Mike: Great 16760

If you are looking to pick up a 16760, check to make the dial & hands have not been replaced. The 16760 is especially known for having "crazed" dials, which is when small cracks develop all over the dial. So if you can find an original 16760 w/o a crazed dial, you are in luck!
