Lange Odysseus in White Gold on Rubber and Leather
Love it on the Rubber personally but I was also a fan of the Odysseus on the bracelet. The watch does look a lot better in the metal than it does in most pictures.
RRP: $40,600 https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/a-...ld-introducing What do you guys think? |

I think I like the rubber strap better. Thinking. That was quick to go from steel to PM. WOW

I would love to see a travel time version of the Odysseus with a skeleton second hour hand like on the 5164A with pushers on the left side of the case to balance out the right side.

I guess Lange was forced by the conglomorate to create a hype sport watch but this is just terrible.

I like it. Still think the steel suits it better.
Interested to see the clasp... |

I still don't like the integration of the bracelet/strap with the case. On AP and Patek it just looks better using plots. On a Rolex Oysterflex the endlinks don't extend out as far as the tips of the lugs, so it still looks right to my eye. On the Lange, it's like they kept the appearance of lugs and the endlink extends further out than necessary, and with little extra plots sticking out.

I think it looks way better on rubber but still comes across as somehow missing something. To me Rolex, AP, and Patek have cohesive designed that feel more glued together.

Looks horrible to me. My biggest peeve with the Odysseus design was the lugs which were too long and didn't flow well with the case design. I was ok with the bracelet and loved the case/dial.
Looks like they are continuing with the same lug design which becomes more pronounced on strap. The grey dial is also meh. |

Not a fan of either of these...especially the end links.

40k of ugliness, for 40k you can buy a watch that's actually mindblowing and beautiful

Looks OK, following the 5711/12 from blue on SS to WG and Grey on strap.

Dial looks nice. But same ugly/awkward lugs - just can’t get past them.

I like it. I think the texturing on the dial makes the watch much more attractive.

Lange Odysseus in White Gold on Rubber and Leather
It was terrible last year, it’s still terrible this year. Not too many watches create such an immense sense of disappointment as this does.
PS: dial is the saving grace and an improvement over the blue face. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I like it. But I like the original better until I see it in person.

I bet it looks nicer in the flesh, no more reason for the bracelet haters to complain. I told you guys a few days ago there would be more Odysseus.

I really really want to like it....something is just off. Probably just the lugs but if one is splashing out 40k, it has to be a ‘can’t keep my eyes off it’ to start with. ALS takes care of every thing after (finish, quality etc etc) but it has to blow you away first glance. My two cents

I love the grey dial, it is beautiful. But why why why did they not integrate the end-links fully if they anyway intended to keep them for the strap versions? And of course they already went PM...
So disappointed in my favorite brand. If they would make a travel time complication and use the day window for that (sort of like Laurent Ferrier does) with a rubber strap without those end-links, I would sell a kidney to get it! |

And when will Lange be supplying these from their shuttered factory to their shuttered boutiques?

Awful. Looks like they gave up halfway designing it.

I’d much rather a pm yachtmaster on oysterflex or pm Daytona on oysterflex for the money.

In my eyes the Odysseus line remains Lange's weakest effort in terms of design by a large margin. Keeping these end links in place for the strap versions looks just as bad as the bracelet / case combination earlier. Just no! |
