No - I am waiting but understand it may be devoid of markings......I think if it were original, it would have something on the back in the manner of acier or stainless etc???

Not necessarily (regarding the markings)!
Let's wait for Buckle Stan the Band man to chime on on this one... |

...you need to tell us...
...if there is anything STAMPED on the back side. Most GENUINE will have the stamping(s) STAMPED on the obverse/back.
...the crown on your buckle appears to be in the correct position, however, IF void of STAMPINGS, then it may be AM and considered suspect. ...there may be some more knowledge out there on our forum...Orchi, Jeff Hess, and Bagel. ...it should be noted that that style buckle has been counterfeited with Laser Etched markings on the backside. Stan. ...the first pic is courtesy of me. ...the next three are courtesy of "The Best of Time", authored by Dowling and Hess. |

Stan & others,
Cheers for that, I asked the seller if he'll post it to me (he knows me) and I will show my friend who worked at Rolex for 17 years (did his training there). If there is someone in New Zealand who will be able to be certain, tis him. I will report back and let you all know but thanks for the time being - appreciated. Harlan
