Which wrist do you wear your watch on and why?

I understand that in manual wind days it would make sense for a rightie to have the watch on the left wrist to have the crown more accessible for easy winding, but now with automatic/perpetual movement that no longer applies.

As right-handed individuals does it really come down to "We use our right hands more and thus we must wear the watch on the left to protect it from abuse"?

Always on my left hand, out of habit more than anything else.

Right hand. As a righty diver, travel gas/deco gas [maybe an 80 and a 7litre or double 80's if its deep one] will be underslung on the left chest D-ring and anchored at the left hip. Left hand has my depth gauge. This leaves my master hand with Goodman light handle, DPV [diver propulsion vehicle], watch and wrist mounted deco tables on an unencumbered right hand. Wil post pics when i get home from work.

Why? I hold my drink in my right hand if I wore my watch on my right wrist and had like 10 beers I might end up with a beer in my face when I go to look at the time…

i'm a lefty, so i wear my watch on my right hand, and i can tell you your worries are real !!

Left for me. Seems like many wear their watch opposite the dominate hand.

I write with my right, and I watch my left

, it's something i've done since I starting wearing watches on my left, right/correct.

Also the crown is easier to use while the watch is worn on your left.

I am a Righty and wear my watch on my left wrist. I tried my right wrist when I broke the left one and I couldn't do it. It was aweful.

Left - when I was given my first watch I was told to put it on that arm (I'm right handed). I suppose it's down to habit - last time I tried it on my right hand it just felt odd.

Left handed, wear on left. I always try to wear it on the right since it's bothersome writing a lot when a watch is on my wrist, but within hours of switching, the watch will go back on my left hand and stay there.

Left - never worn it any other way. It is due to habit more than anything, I would think, as I am right handed and was taught to wear my watch on my left wrist.

I Broke my left wrist playing AAA hockey when I was 14 so I had to switch to the right for a while and never went back.
