Seiko Alpinist on Rolex Oyster Bracelet?
I have an SPB089 Blue Aplinist coming. Was looking at oyster bracelet options and was thinking to purchase a Ginault, since I really like a 4mm taper to 16mm at the clasp. Then I wondered if either my 39mm Explorer or SD4K oyster bracelet would fit the Alpinist. Has anyone tried this?

I haven’t tried an oyster bracelet, but I did put my alpinist on a ginault bracelet. It took just a little handling to get the springbars to sit, but once they do, it is secure. I used the OEM bars that come on the alpinist. Congrats on the incoming, it is well worth it.

I'm not sure a Rolex bracelet would line up exactly with the lug holes on the Alpinist.
Strapcode sells a nice bracelet that fits the Alpinist perfectly.

Maybe. Claimed 1:1 isn't always really 1:1.

Why are we discussing Ginault?
Isn’t the ‘glidelock’ design a patented and registered Rolex trademark? Are we discussing a fake even without the Rolex crown?
