New ROO’s - AP Official

I have to say the new ROOs look a LOT better on AP’s site than the early pics we saw.

Other than the numerals, which are not my personal preference, these look pretty good.

I really dig the 26400io TBH, not a fan of the others but this blue really caught my attention, without being too fragile in the full ceramic case, this one is the silent winner IMO.

Good job I’ve got small wrists, otherwise this could cost me a lot of money that I don’t have!

So, I agree with you Gary...on the site they look pretty good. But the "real life" photos I have seen so far indicate they appear quite different in person. The website photos seem to really mute the blue more towards a violet, and the green seems much more saturated than in the flesh.

If the colors really looked like this I think it would be a positive. As always, what matters is in the flesh so this is all nitpicking on my part.

I still think the rose gold is the best of the bunch, but I just don't know if I can get over the 'II' markers.

I'm also left wondering why the addition of a 26405 look-a-like? I know the 26405 is full ceramic but that is a subtle difference (at least in photos).

This is new model, 26400IO. The case is in titanium

OK 26400IO is titanium case and ceramic bezel. 26405CG is ceramic case and bezel.

I am sure in person they are quite different. But, just going off of site photos they are a very similar color scheme.

I've always thought that AP's site doesn't depict their products too well as they aren't photographs they are renders, but at least they are of good quality from a detail perspective.

Scott, you are bang on regarding the need to have them in hand, my blue is far from subtle and if you look back at some of the pics that Ash posted from Gleneagles when we were shown them for the first time, the blue looks fluorescent.

I like them all. (other than the numerals, which I'm sure will grow on me.)

Haha I am pretty sure I'll end up the same way...My saving grace may be my skinny wrists won't be able to support these. I'm absolutely pushing it with the Ghost for sure!

HK Islandboy has a blue camo and he's posted a pic of the new one on the other thread, he's well placed to offer an opinion as to the colour scheme.

HK Islandboy, if you read this, could you let is know if the new blue is the same colour as the blue camo ceramic? AP's site pictures make them look different, but other actual pics make them look very similar to me.

So, had AP redeployed the blue and green ceramic bezels and pushers from the camo versions, or are these 'new' shades of blue and green?

Having now seen the live pics on the other thread, I take it all back, not a fan! But...the straps look great!

I REALLY think they should do these in a 40.5 format...they would sell out for 2 years immediately...

The actual photos I've seen on here and on the gram make the watches look much better. Really one that needs to be seen to appreciate.

I'm a fan though of what they've done here - the pattern on the rubber strap and vignette shading on the dial is pretty nice.

I love AP, and I love the ROO, but my goodness, I'm sorry... I cannot get behind these. :(

It feels too much like a mix between Hublot and Richard Mille, and failing to be as good as RM, and failing to be as legendary as AP typically is.

In my opinion the aesthetics would improve if they had made the numerals slightly smaller instead of cutting the corners. The dial is a bit too populated to my taste, and I have my doubts whether this design will stand its test of time partly also because of its size.

But then again, I do see why the masculine look of this watch would appeal to some.

Really nice...like the dial and strap together. 40-42mm would be nicer!

Still think the RG bezel is the nicest of the bunch!

I do rather like the RG version but am not sure I could get past the fact that the numerals seem pushed to the outside of the dial - I don't know what design advantage AP felt that adds.

Anyone have the photo of the new 26400IO on hand? I prefer this model than the other 3 new models with numeral dial.

The gradient effect is very nice on the dials. I only wish it can sit well on my tiny wrist.

Nice additions but nothing remarkable. What else is left to create on the RO line in general? Keep re-inventing the wheel.
