Lume Question!
Good TRF Luminaries,
Does anyone know if the pink luminous indexes and 3-6-9 on this OP actually glow pink? Please illuminate me! Thanks, ‘78 |

No depending on age either green or more on the blue spectrum.

Lume Question!
Quote:
The current strontium aluminate composition that Rolex uses luminates a blue hue. As peter mentioned, the previous non in house product was green. Companies will alter the composition by adding pigments to change the color of the lume paint in its non glowing state to fit the color scheme of the watch design. Example “fauxtina”. The color of the “glow” of the lume however is determined by the strontium aluminate composition. |

I agree with you Peter but there are those that believe Chromalight is some magic fairy dust.
