Grand Seiko snowflake... but smaller

Hi everyone,

I have quite small wrists and feel the snowflake may be too big for my wrists, although I’m yet to try one on in person.

I’m wondering, are there any other grand seiko watches out there, like the snowflake, spring drive and interesting dial, but a bit smaller?

Thanks

I actually can’t find any, <40mm with a textured dial like the snowflakes, date and power reserve. Any reference numbers would be appreciated.

Here are some, all smaller than the 41mm snowflake

Take a look at the „Soko” models for the US market. SBGA 427 & 429. Especially the 427 with its textures silverish dial gives a fantastic shade play!

One of the TRF members has just published a thread on his new incoming 429. Also great.

Here Soko & Snowflake lying next to each other. The size diffr is substantial.

I have smaller wrists but I think it looks fine on my wrist. How large are your wrists? I'll try to grab a photo of mine.

I have 6.25” wrists and just tried one on at the AD...it surprisingly fit pretty well. Also, because it’s titanium it feels very light and comfy on a small wrist.

Yeah think I'm about 6.5 and looks similar to that.

Also looks "big" when you zoom in like that. Take a photo from eyeball distance and it looks smaller again.

Thanks guys, I think I need to try one on in person. I guess with the lightness of the case the extra size isn't too much of an inconvenience.

Cheers
