I'm going to pull the trigger on this 1680
My search for a Submariner 1680 from 1973 has ended I hope!
This 1680 has been offered to me for a price within my budget. I’m posting the images here to see if anyone has comments regarding condition and such. I plan on contacting the seller tomorrow 4/20 to arrange for payment and shipping. Thanks Arron |

Hi there,
The watch itself looks in good shape. A little bit overpolished but still thick lugs. Why should the dial either be refinished or a service dial Looks all Original as an MKII or MKIII maxi dial Watch has even the Vintage cyclope #127 which is great and not a service one with that "sharp edges"..... Back a little bit scractched but OK. Movement clean and OK! Hands might me luminova ones from that pics... Overall a great catch if the price is right If you have questions feel free to send me a PM Great Sunday Axel |

Aaron, it looks to be fine. Appears it may have a service replacement insert and hands. No biggie, but it might be worth trying to find out about the dial.
A RED would have be correct for a 73 timeframe. If I'm reading the serial number correctly, a 3.9 might be closer to 75. I'm good with white there. |

I'm not sure about the dial. It could be a service dial. I was planning to ask about it.
