Martin Acoustic Rosewood Wonderland!

I hope everyone is having a great Labor Day. I was doing some playing outdoors today and found a second to snap a few shots of some of my beauties. As you can see I’m a sucker for rosewood. Here’s the current lineup.

-00-42SC
-D-42
-000-28 Modern Deluxe
-Custom Shop OM with Cocobolo back/sides, a mahogany wedge and an Adirondack top.

What are you playing today?

Beautiful Josh. My favorite, the D42.

Thanks for sharing them.

Very much works of art. Sometimes I find myself staring at them and getting distracted from playing. I’m sure a lot of WIS are into acoustic guitars also.

I love guitars and wish I'd gotten into playing them years ago instead of being a piano virtuoso. (just kidding, I was so-so.). I definitely would have gotten more chicks back in the day.

There is something about a beautiful work of art that in itself is capable of producing art.

Congrats on your beauties.

If you’re ever near Nazareth, PA, the factory tour is interesting

I live in PA but haven’t made it there yet. It’s on my bucket list though.

I’ve been there a few times. In 2005, my group was fortunate enough to have Chris give the tour. He autographed our tour gifts. You can just about make out what’s left of his signature.

You gotta get there.

Yep, thanks. Sounds good, balanced, although prefer the uncoated strings but means changing every 2-3 weeks.

I'm a sucker for fret board inlays.

That one has really nice appointments. Torrefied top right?

The 00-42SC has a really cool inlay. Very unique.

Yes, think I remember seeing a vid where it was Mr Mayor's idea for that circle to be completed on the fretboard.

I have a Takamine G series. I would love to have a Martin but will need to see a marked increase in use as well as improvement in my playing to justifying.

My OM-42. I was able to get Mr. Chris Martin to autograph it while it was being made.

I love the OM42. I actually almost bought one recently but went for the 00-42SC instead. Mostly because I already had an OM and I really dig John Mayer. The one you have a is a beauty. I may still pick one up sometime.

Takamine makes a fine guitar. I used to feel the same way. My guitars far surpass my skill. But then I came to the conclusion that there’s enjoyment over and beyond my skill level.
