Wasn't expecting this call anytime before 2021...

Then this morning, BOOM, the AD calls with this waiting on me! I couldn't be more excited and thankful that my AD trusted me with not running this straight to the sales forum. That's not happening!

Congrats!

“Than’s not happening!” A little Freudian slip!

Enjoy the BLRO, it’s a fantastic watch!

So this is proof that you don't need a huge history with all AD's.

I bought an OP 39 there a year ago, went in a week ago and put down a deposit for the new OP 36 for the wife and struck up a conversation with the store manager who is a great guy and a watch geek like us.

I expressed my interest in a BLRO. I think he was certain I wasn't looking to flip it and told me he'd keep me in mind and near the top of his list. I was blown away when he called today and offered me one that had just arrived. I know he reads this forum and cannot thank him enough.

I think if you can get a hold of a store manager and have a real conversation with them, it can go a long way. I would guess it definitely doesn't hurt to put a deposit on another Rolex for the wife!

Appreciate the insight. I have an appointment Sunday to get on list for a 43” Sea Dweller. There seems to be an abundance showing up on grey market so hoping the Sub hype has opened up things. I have been in love with that watch since Baselworld 2017. Sucks I missed out on the mk1 dial, I’ll be heartbroken if they discontinue the Red Sea Dweller before I can get it @ retail

Congrats on the beautiful BLRO! I think I'll buy my wife a watch next weekend and mention the Pepsi and new bluesy. I wish I was in a smaller market though.

Congrats on the BLRO. I got mine in July and absolutely love it. My AD took care of me as well, albeit after a looooong wait. I’m not a big fish either, and it’s good to read that there are plenty of good ADs still out there.

Yes, I'm proud to be a customer of this AD. They only put locals on wait lists, only take payments in store and don't ship watches.
For those reasons, I was able to make this purchase.

Congrats, you will love it. Hate to bring up the “which MK version bezel” but just saying your’s looks just like mine that I’ve had almost two years. Their appearance can look very different in photos and to the naked eye depending on lighting.

Congrats and enjoy. Bought my wife a DJ II white Roman dial in July for her birthday that they happened to have in the display case at one of my local ADs. No prior purchase history. Been in a few times since (to get it sized and send my DSSD to RSC) and he has seemed to be much more amenable to my wish list. I did turn down an Omega Seamaster James Bond limited he offered me during the first visit. We’ll see...at least I got two new batteries in my Shinola watches. It’s a start lol

I broke about 12 major moving violations during the 30 minute drive to the AD fearing that some whale would show up there before me and demand it for himself.

Congrats. I think everyone is ordering the new subs so SS GMTs are being easier to get.
Enjoy.
