Registering a Preowned AP

I am thinking of purchasing an RO still under warranty. It has been registered by the original owner. Will I be able to change the name under the watch is registered to myself? Sorry if this has been answered before. Thanks.

Go to the AP site, create an account and add your watch to your account. When you add your watch you'll need your watch's serial number and the warranty card. When you do that it appears on your account and is removed from the previous owners account. To be honest, this isn't necessary anyway, as AP know the warranty details for the watch. The warranty follows the watch, not the original owner.

Is this true in the US? My AP was previously owned, and every time I add it to my profile, it stays for a day or two before disappearing. I assume this is because the original owner still has it registered..?

When you registered that watch in your account, that watch should be under your name only and should stay there until you sell it to the next owner.
