Good morning all.

I'm have acquired a few new leather straps I would like to wear with my 1675 GMT. Can you all suggest what type of spring bars you would recommend?

I've used smaller standard spring bars but the pin ends are a much smaller than the case holes. The strap is secure but rattles. Would you advise using the spring bars from the GMT bracelet? They would be a tight fit through the strap ends but I could work them through with a bit of work.

If you suggest the bracelet spring bar be used would anyone be kind enough to provide me the part number OEM or replacement that I can order to have 2-3 on hand for the straps so I can leave the original installed with the bracelet.

What are you doing to use a leather strap on your 1675?

Any help or direction would be appreciated.

Sure, if possible, using the same spring-bars as for the bracelet would be good. I don't think you need a part #, the Rolex spring-bars for watches with lug-holes are pretty standard. Since your watch has lug holes, you should buy spring-bars without flanges. You need 20mm spring-bars.

Some Rolex ADs will sell you spring-bars in small quantities. If you go to your usual parts supplier online (Ofrei, Borel, Cousins), they also sell Rolex style spring-bars of good quality. And you can even find them on eBay. I suppose actual Rolex spring-bars are probably somewhat better, but the high-quality aftermarket Swiss-made bars are good enough IMO.

Dan...Thanks for the time.

I was able to free the spring bars from the bracelet. One was a bit tight but I got it out.

I was able to work the pass through on the strap ends a bit wider and have used the bracelet bars to attach the strap for now. This is a much more solid fit and the outside case holes finish looks much nicer with the longer bars.

I appreciate the direction and will follow up to locate some additional suitable bars to use for the other straps.

The simple strap change gives the watch a whole new look and feel. It's a welcome change as I was getting a bit bored with the watch.

sometimes I change the original bracelet and wear a leather strap, at first I used the bracelet pins, but Rolex AD gave me some, also original, and I always have them on the leather strap. They are 20mm and 2mm in diameter.

You should be fine with after market spring bars. I have a few pairs, seem to be fine.

Thanks for the additional information and the spring bar reference. I have no issues whether OEM or aftermarket. Just want to make sure I get the correct ones.
