3120 feels injured

During the winding of my 15400 this morning I noticed a peculiar sound during the process. I could only describe it as a "skipping" during the winding. There is an audible interruption of the normal sound and its replaced with a sound you would expect during an instantaneous date change. There is also the ever so subtle increase of resistance in the crown just prior to the noise followed by a release of that increased pressure it took to wind the crown. I'm thinking there could be a problem with the ratcheting mechanism because it feels like for a brief moment I'm fighting the mainspring. I just wanted to hear some feedback incase anyone has experienced this before. I also owned a 15710 so I have some good experience winding thr 3120. I'm going to give Clearwater a call and I'll update the thread through the process for future reference.

Are you sure it's not the clutch slipping on a fully wound mainspring?

Just pulled it from the watch box and started winding it. Was getting my monthly winding out of the way and noticed it from the first turn.

Just a quick follow up in case someone in the future sees a solar issue. Sent the watch to Clearwater and the result was "The watchmaker adjusted a component in the date mechanism that was causing the issue." Clearwater was great in communication and I couldn't be happier.
