Power reserve on DJ41
My DJ41 126334 is just back from a service and after a full wind and laid to rest has just ran for 79 hours 45 mins, anyone else found the power reserve to be beyond the 70 hours mark….I find it quite incredible

Never tested it, just wind it and wear it.

No. Out of 6 different 32 series I have tested only one went above 72 hours at 72:40. I seriously would retest if I got 79+ hours in a 32 series movement. Only my dual barrel mainspring in my Panerai 661 Carbotech with P.9010 got better than that at 80:15.

I haven’t officially timed it because I don’t really care that much. But I usually use my DJ 41 on the weekends but I take it off Sunday night and it makes it all the way around Thursday sometime. It’s pretty impressive.

As you did the 5 positions throughout several times I am wondering if that perhaps caused a small amount of winding ? Could that have skewed the results at all ?

Off-topic a bit (sorry), I tested my new Speedmaster movement rated at 50 hours and I got 64 hours and 23 minutes. Keeping accurate time until at least 60 hours (not sure for how long the accuracy remained because I went to bed). Remarkable in my opinion, not to mention the accuracy of the movement which is also remarkable (mine has been averaging +0.4 spd).
Sorry for the Omega content in a Rolex thread. I just wanted to share. |

Mine has run past the 70 hours anytime I've tested it. Usually 72 or 73 hours.
This would from, just wearing, no manual winding. FWIW my Pelagos ran for 74 hours too, only autowind, after I took it off after vacation. |

Are you certain you correctly measured the interval?
(I did miscalculate once, so I know it is possible.) 79 sounds not realistic. My other Rolex do not go "much" beyond their PR specs.

Power reserve on DJ41
Quote:
100% sure….full wind 9am on Monday morning as was testing at various intervals on the timegrapher after being serviced, the watch was laid at rest dial up between measurements…..the watch eventually stopped at 16:45 today Thursday. Follow the link from Saxo’s post #10 above for results up to 60 hours. I didn’t do any other measuring after that other than let the watch run to a stop as I wanted to see what power reserve it had Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
