The man loves the daytona! I don't see anything wrong with that. Especially with the variability you can find within the line. White gold, yellow gold, rose gold, steel, blue dials, green dials, white dials, oysterflex... they've got those whacky pastel colour ones. Old daytona's, zenith daytona's... I mean the options seem endless!
There are guys who only collect black steel submariners of different vintages. I think a daytona collection is perfectly reasonable. |

Congrats on your fifth gorgeous Daytona!
Would love to see all of them. I have only 116500LN and 116508 and want to have another one with Meteorite dial.

I hope you get one or both soon. I knew that you have been waiting for the YG green dial for long time.

I can’t speak for others but Daytona’s are my favorite watch period. I currently have two and hope to have another.

then why would they even bother advertising on billboards and sponsoring sporting events, etc? And besides, wasn't rolex a more obtainable luxury brand for the masses at one point in history? The problem is the executives love the idea of becoming even more elitist and taking the brand with them. May be a short term winning strategy but we'll see in 10/15 years. Don't get me wrong, I love the watches, but with the majority of earth not even getting to go to a nearby location and see them, they seem to lose cache. Not one of my friends has a clue when i'm wearing my blue AP. As an aside, i'm not being bitter. i have a blue royal oak from a boutique, a white daytona, a pepsi, blah blah blah but i don't see the point of showing people a picture of a watch that everyone else has everytime i get one. The result is either "gorgeous watch" or "she's a beauty" stamp and repeat with what purpose for the OP? |

I'm a little puzzled by the reaction of some members that the OP has 5 Daytona's.
Don't we always say around here, there are no rules to watch collecting...along with the well used phrase "buy what you like?" Well, here you go. The guy likes Daytona's. OP, congrats on a fantastic watch. |

Sounds like lots of jelly fellow members here.
Love the Daytona connoisseur's collection you've built. Looks like the person sitting to your left in the van will enjoy the collection one day as well! How are you finding the OF new pink dial compared to all the other competition of Daytona's? Where does it rank for you? |
