Release date for the new ceramic TT Subs
What if anything have people heard about the release date for the new TT ceramic bezel Subs? They were introduced at Basel 2009 but no sign that they have been released into the marketplace as of yet. I've heard suggestions that they may become available in the US as soon as July 2009 while others have said that it may not be until September or October 2009. Will Europe or Asia see these first?

Based on history, I'd expect August at the earliest.

They are here on a very limited basis at select ADs and being offered to select customers.

They may just hold them back if inventory on the current model is high.

I have seen watches that are 3 to 4 years old still in ADs cases lately.

Not sure if this is what you are talking about but I saw a white gold/ceramic bezel sub at an AD on Maui a month or so ago. Nice.......

Yes, I mean historically from the Basel announcement. I saw and tried on the new Sub (WG and YG) in an AD back in November of 2008, so to address another post you sent - yes, the solid gold models are indeed available. The new blue on the ceramic looks quite a bit different in real life - kind of like the green-dialed GMT does. |

Sorry guys false alarm. I called back for clarification and BigHat was correct the AD employee was mistaken, they have a TT GMT.

In any event, back to the issue at hand. Does anyone have any additional insight as to when they will be here and if perhaps the European or Asian markets will see them first. |

Hmmm this may be my next watch. Do you guys think there will be a considerable price increase from the last sub?

I have no idea when it debuts here in the U.S., but I am VERY interested to know because I want to see more pics of the TT Sub Blue.
I love the black (but already have the GMTIIC TT), and so I'm hoping the blue is outstanding. Always wanted a bluesy, but decided to wait to see if the new model will be worth it. But from what I've seen so far, I'm not confident . . . |

this would be a model I would not consider the blue dial because of the new blue color it has. the black should look alot better IMHO.

No more information or even "reliable" rumors as to a timeframe for arrival of the new TT SUB?

I would say end of august/september at the earliest. I wouldn't hold my breath before that.
I wanted to buy a new watch next month. Probably the YM or SS GMTIIC (even tho I have the TT version) but I really like the new TT sub. So I guess for me it's "save up and shut up" |

As per my local AD, mine will arrive sometime in August.
I will post pictures when delivered. I ordered the black one. |

Someone posted earlier in this thread that the new TT SUBS were already available at selected ADs for "special" customers. Has anyone else heard this or can the person who posted this information confirm with specifics? Several ADs in my area have all independently denied that the new SUBS are legitimately available in the US at this time.

It is now available for sale in Greece
MSRP around $11,500 (euro 8100 exhange approximately $1.42 price icludes sales tax or VAT of 19%) The discount available at the moment no more than 25% as this is a brand new watch and not widely available also difficult to get the VAT as well, store clients have first choice to buy and I doubt that the local AD will be interested to sell it... to an outsider. So I guess those who would like to be the "first in my block" prepare to pay the full old retail of $9,300.-..and possibly more |
