Opinion on aqua terra vs. BB58
Hello all-
Just wanted to pick everyone’s brain and see what the opinions are here. I have an AT which I bought a few months ago. I love the watch and I do wear it often especially on the rubber strap but I have been really eyeing the BB58 as well and I can’t stop thinking about it. It really is an attractive watch. I don’t think I want to have both in the collection, so it would realistically be one or the other. Does anyone have both that may be able to chime in? I feel like the AT is overall a better watch with a better movement but I would probably be taking a pretty massive hit if I sell it as I bought it brand new from my AD Here’s my AT Also - last time I posted about an omega in this forum some people really got offended apparently so hopefully since a Tudor is referenced it is “acceptable” lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

What else do you have in your collection? Without knowing that, I’d choose the Omega. And this is coming from a BB58 owner.

I prefer the AT because of the date, the versatility and the exhibition caseback.

Speaking from experience, I like the 58 far better than the AT. Anecdotally my 58 kept better time, with longer power reserve and wore better on wrist in terms of both bracelet and case thickness. I think the 58 also has better legibility and overall better aesthetic

I own both and love both.
In your situation, and in general, between the two I'd choose the AT. Best wishes |

I like Omegas in general, and the AT in particular. Definitely over the Tudor

Exactly. I just got this same reference on alligator strap, and I love it. It's also very accurate. Omega AT all day over BB58.

I have the BB58, it’s wonderful. BUT if you want to keep variety in your collection, I’d stick with the AT sincee see you own a Sub already.
I think you’d miss the simplicity of the AT. Especially since you wear it often. Having both would be ideal (but I’m sure you expected to hear that here lol). If it HAS to be one or the other, with your current collection, keep the AT. |

I think the AT is beautiful. Looks very classy. If I didn’t have a Blue OP I’d have bought one over the Seamaster I got recently. At the same time I’m also biased as although I love Omega and many Tudors, the advertising of Tudor in the UK puts me off them.

Keep that AT. That thing is smoking!!! No way would I move to a 58 from that. That's the superior watch and looks amazing on that strap. No freaking way...

The AT is lovely, the BB58 is a great watch and honestly I think they're different enough that you could keep both in your collection.

I have both a black AT (just like yours) and a BB58 Blue. I really like both but if I had to pick one, it would be the AT. The AT is super comfy on rubber, has a top notch movement, looks so classy and I am a sucker for the display back. That said , I would miss the BB58 Blue as I find it to be a great summer watch, especially with smaller wrists. Can you do both? If so, I’d recommend the BB in Blue over black to give some variety.

BB58 but only cos I hate the Omega and their dreadful dials which make them look like a $100 watch.

Went to the AD to buy the Green AT on bracelet. Found it not as "whatever" as in the photos. Ended up buying White Dial Seamaster. I also have a black BB 58 and believe it has a better wrist presence vice the AT which I guess is designed to go under the radar.

Kind of an odd comparison but would have to go AT myself. AT v DJ41 is a more apples to apples comparison.

I have owned the AT and several Tudors. I may get flamed here but the Omega build quality and finish is superior to Tudor.

It’s almost universally agreed here than Omega is superior. Doesn’t mean some one prefer Tudor, though.

Thank you everyone for your feedback! I enjoyed reading every single one.
I guess the only logical option here is buying the BB58 and keeping the AT as well…. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
