So, what did you really expect Rolex to add/discontinue that didn't happen?

Did you really think there was going to be a 41mm Daytona? A new "Hulk?" Did you think Rolex would discontinue the Milgauss?

What did you really think Rolex would add or delete from the line for 2022?

I'll start...

I thought both the Milgauss and AK would have been discontinued. I definitely did not expect the new AK with crown guards and lumed 3-6-9.

I did expect a SkyD 10th anniversary in PM.

I did expect a jubilee option for Rootbeer TT.

I did expect a new color for OPs.

I thought for sure we would see an update to the Milguass with the new movement prior to the AirKing. It seems pretty obvious (as if we didn't already know) that Rolex used the AirKing to put old Explorer 1 dials laying around to use and that they must have used up most of that old inventory now.

Laughed out loud at that one!

Yeah, sure. They are just "lying around."

A lot of clairvoyance around here - not.

I expected the jubilee option for the root beer, that would have been a fantastic looking piece IMO and I'm quite shocked they didn't do it.

For years I've been waiting for Rolex and Porsche to team up and introduce a watch powered by a tiny internal combustion engine and every years since, I've been sorely disappointed.

Now, with all the green energy and whatnot, I guess I'll just have to change my expectations and hope for a Rolex powered by a tiny windmill.

None of the new stuff except for the Destro GMT is too surprising. I do like the blue and green motif dials on the DJ41.
I am most shocked by the apparent discontinuation of two OP dial colors and the shuffling of what colors do still come on different sizes. Pretty major changes for a line that just came out 1.5 years ago. Rolex must have some reason, either financial or production wise for that which of course we’ll never know.

Coke GMT ,at least in WG .

Instead we got the upside-down GMT ..

Air king with more than just new crown guards .

Discontinue the AK and add coke bezel to the GMT line.

AK updated with a blue dial/less divisive dial, Milgauss gone, GMT Master II green or black bezel, and maybe BLNR gone... I did not expect a left hand crown.

I was also anticipating a titanium Yacht Master.

I’ve been waiting for a Rolex/Tesla Collab, Gigawatch with Tesla battery and quartz movement.

It won't be for few more years. Heck, the platinum Daytona is still around since 2013. That said, I don't know why most think they'll do away with the olive so quickly.

Right, I think there’s a high chance.

My point was, the olive dial has time to go before it leaves the catalog being it came out in 2016.

Hoped and expected are two entirely different answers. I hoped we'd see some nice fresh Milgauss colors and a completely reworked Air King. What I expected was just a bunch of new GMT bezel colors and more oyster-rubber straps on watches they have no business being on.

I honestly don't pay any attention to the entire datejust/daydate lines.

A white dial, stick index, YG DD. FFS, its the most classic DD. Why not release a modern size version of that. The 36 looks like a girls watch on my wrist. Yes, I'm not happy.

Not every watch is for everyone. This girl is pumped about the 36 platinum DD. I think it’s great they expanded my options
