Shortest wait time for SS Sports models (post craze)
How long or short were your wait times with the AD?
I've been fortunate in my pickups. 214270 straight from the display case in August 2018. 116610 LN in June 2020 with a 3 day wait. |

I tried on a several exhibition models and requested a Starbucks Sub from a new AD. A couple weeks later I made a $1200 ring purchase for the wife. Two days after the ring purchase, I got the call for my 126610LV. (March 2022) App. 3 weeks from first inquiry to LV on my wrist.

Maybe OP should clarify the time frame they are interested in. |

When I got my explorer in August 2018, I hadn't seen any other explorers in cases here in Tokyo. Only YM IIs and AKs. Side note, last time I saw a SS(well kind of SS) was a YM in New Delhi in Nov. 2019. The SA tried really hard to sell it to me. Wasn't looking to buy at the time and YMs were never at the top of my to-get list. If anyone sees this post, do also share when the last time you saw an SS Sports watch in the case. Interesting to know from different regions. |

Two OPs same day in and out, last Christmas 2021.
Turquoise 36 for her. Yellow 41 for me. AD in Vegas. Nothing was on display, no customers either. The sales crew was friendly and we were in the store about two hours, just talking about life and telling stories. About an hour or so into the conversation, my girl mentioned her desire to get the Tiffany OP and I said I was hoping to one day get the Yellow OP, because yellow is my favorite color. We were having champagne with the crew and the store manager. For no reason at all, the manager said he liked us, but he has some work to do and left. He came back maybe 5 or 10 minutes later with two new OPs. The rest is history and it was a Merry Christmas for us both. It's bullshit when the ADs say there's no stock. They indeed have stock in the back. If they didn't, they wouldn't have armed guards up front. It's a matter of building a relationship. Maybe they were in the Christmas spirit, too. |

I got a Sub date in December last year from my local AD after a walk in.
I've come home every Christmas from working overseas for around the last ten years and had something waiting for me , this year they hadnt managed to get anything that I had on my wish list in time for me. I jokingly told them that it's going to look a bit bare under the tree this year then they came back with a steel Sub that another customer had failed to collect |

In late 2018, I got a black 116500 inside of 60 days from my ask.
2021-22, I’m still waiting on a 116519 11 months after asking… Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Not a sports model, but six weeks for my DJ41 in the exact configuration I requested. This was last November.
