Is this the best value at MSRP for a readily available watch?

I think so, but I am biased.

From that brand or any brand?

I have that same watch but would say the ranger is a better value. Same functionally, same movement, less expensive. Also, it's not readily available everywhere. I waited three months and have read several posts elsewhere in the world that ADs don't have stock.

+1 for the new Ranger. I picked mine up last week. I work in construction and it’s a great work watch, I can feel the quality in the bracelet/clasp. Imo one of the best releases (and best value) from Tudor in recent history.

Great value for sure. I love mine. But I think best is entirely subjective.

Tudor is definitely a great value for the money imo! Being actually in the showcases and readily available at MSRP is also a biggie!

I think the biggest problem I have with Tudor is that it helps, but does not fully scratch the "itch" for me to buy one if I really want the Rolex. In my search for a GMT Pepsi, I have ran across a Tudor Pepsi readily available more than once. I know that if I did buy it, I'd be wasting $4K so to speak since I know I would still want the Rolex version.

This is 100% my current dilemma. I'm looking to add a GMT Rolex next but impatience keeps leading me to the BB GMT. I'm sure I would enjoy it very much so but would still lust after the Rolex after the honeymoon phase.

As they say, patience is a virtue.

The resale on the Tudor GMT is pretty close to RRP so it's a great stop gap until your Rolex GMT comes in.

Yes - but only because you said "readily available."

I'd say the Sub is the best watch value in the universe. If you have a big wrist then it's the SD43 - and it's probably available with just a short wait.

Just about any Rolex sports model is at retail. If you ever want to sell it, it will have cost you nothing to own. You might even sell it for more than you paid, even after a hard life. That is a good value.

As mentioned good value for money is subjective. When the Swatch group is producing watches for $1k with 80 hours power reserve, silicon balance springs, and -2/+2 s/d accuracy, then for me I say that's the best value at MSRP, but it's subjective and emotional. I could go on and make the point that a Daytona is the best value for money at MSRP. It's a fun topic which stretches your mind to appreciate so many watches out there from so many producers.

I think the Tissot looks great from far, but up close it loses it luster. I tried it and it didn't fit properly, wore bigger than my 36mm Rolex.

I think the dial sits a bit too deep or it's the glass I'm not a fan of. And the hands look cheap. There are other and cheaper watches that look better in that department.

I have a 7.5 inch wrist so I didn’t have the issue with fit. I am curious sub 650 dollars what you prefer for as aesthetics and function?

I own a Junghans Max Bill 34mm.

You can put it on either a leather strap or mesh bracelet (not the typical big mesh bracelet you see on those old dive watches). Manuel movement, beautiful case design, domed acrylic crystal, really really really beautiful silver/white (sparkling) dial that changes throughout the day with whatever light or sun you got or none of it. And the hands are much better looking and finer.

The Tissot is a beautiful watch as well but if the hands were better looking, perhaps more money put into the dial, it would be a banger. Obviously at a higher price. But 1 on 1 I prefer the looks and quality of that Junghans.

I quit looking for value and rational thinking when it comes to luxury. For me it's all about buying what you love and can afford. End of. If it's a Tudor, so be it, but not because it was the best value proposition, classic settling mistake.

I agree, the BB58 is pretty killer value. Though someone else said Ranger and I do think that is an even better value, considering the bracelet improvements for only $3k it's amazing...but if I could only have one I'd probably go BB58 for myself

Great value and handsome looker!

You essentially have a piece that’s very comparable ( perhaps better in quality in some ways) to the old Rolex 5 digit divers. Love the retro look with no crown guards, smaller size, and boxed crystal.

Also LOVE the cobalt like blue that shows up in low light situations like you have in the picture as well.
