Southern Hospitality .....

As some of you know we are in Bubba Land for the birth of our grandaughter. As for Southern Hospitality let me tell you Georgia is full of it! I have never had so many people say Hi to me in my life. This is a great place

What a cute little baby.
Georgia seems nice. I drove through there once and folks seemed real nice.

It's the best place in the world.

There is nothing like the South.

A waitress asks, "Sweet tea?" and what she means is three pounds of sugar per glass.

Beauty of a baby and I can tell she was a "C" because of the perfectly shaped head. And look at the hair.

Ahhh Georgia and their sweet tea

I remember going there back in '96 when Atlanta hosted the Olympics. I went into a Mcdonalds and didn't specify what I wanted to drink, but then again I wasn't asked either

That first sip of sweet tea hits you out of no where. The face I made must have been priceless! The only phrase I can think of that would explain it is - would you like some tea with your sugar?

The people are however, very very nice

My mom always had mint growing next to the backyard faucet to put in the ice tea. That brings back fond memories.

That does bring back nice memories. I remember being sent outside to cut a few sprigs before dinner. They way it smelled when you crushed them in your hands was wonderful.

I love the sweat tea down south! Some places say they have sweat tea here but that only means that they just add more sugar. It's not the same because they don't brew the tea with the sugar to begin with and doesn't taste heavenly.

I traveled to Marietta, Georgia a lot in the 1990's for business trips. In the early '90's (1990) Marietta was a pretty sleepy, uncongested town. When I last visited in 1999, there was pretty heavy traffic congestion and a lot more residents. But, the folks were very friendly and cordial.
