Rolex Oyster Precision 6424 Bracelet Query
Hi all,
I am new to the forum and love reading the posts. Finally decided to get my first Rolex which is a vintage Oyster Precision 6424. It is the larger one of the family with a 36mm case. Absolutely love it! I am trying to find a bracelet to fit that has curved end links. I bought one from Watch Gecko but the curved end links didn't fit so I have left it with the straight end links - pictures below as I would be keen to hear what you think of this style anyway. Anyone have any ideas what model bracelet would work with curved end links for this watch? Thanks, Simon |

19mm or 20mm, i Forget? 19mm Rolex and Tudor bands are very reasonable on ebay

The 6424 case is 36mm so it will have 20mm wide lugs and there are many bracelets, both Oyster and Jubilee, that can be made to fit.
Depending on the age of the watch, and how period correct you want it to be, for a Oyster bracelet, the rivet model 7206 or the folded link model 7836 would be good and for a Jubilee a 6251 or 62510H would also be worth looking at. The main issue is that the case does not have lug holes and so most of the vintage end links will have to be modified with little cutouts so you can gain access to the spring pins. There are a few 6424 watches for sale with bracelets and it seems that a 75 end link on a rivet 7206 Oyster bracelet works and 55 or 555B end links work on a Jubilee bracelet. Here's an example of what you might have to do to modify the end links to get access to the spring bars: |

I think the straight endlinks work well with that watch and definitely give it a period look. If you Google 'vintage Rolex straight endlinks' you'll find a few nice examples. It would also look nice on leather.

It is 20mm lug width and I owned 6424 before.
But do make sure that you use the end link for non lug hole type case. Otherwise you may have to damage your end link to remove the spring bar. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yes, this, and don't use smooth springbars, either.

It's a beauty!
You have to take the extra step and get the proper bracelet for it, or wear it on leather. It deserves more than a replica President bracelet, which is both wrong for an OP and, well, just wrong. |

Thanks all for all your input and yes it is 20mm lug width.
I know the bracelet on it currently does not do the watch justice so the next step is to get a proper one for it :). Just wanted to make sure I am getting one that will fit and then of course waiting for one to come up at the right price. Will update pics once I get it. |

The ends are 558B.
The only issue is...they should fit up perfectly as has been my experience with every prescribed end link for Rolex when they come out of the package..but they don't. You will have to "adjust" them as the are too "open" and stick up above the lugs due to the thin case. I got a set for mine when I had it. We looked it up before Rolex stopped supporting 4 digit watches. This will allow you to run any current oyster band on the watch. You can give the model band, and the watch to the AD along with the end link number and they should still be able to get them for you. |

Hi All,
Any thoughts on this Bracelet for my Rolex 6424. Not sure what the random initials are on it. Cheers, Simon |

The 1018 was often sold with a 7206: that's comparable time-only 36mm, but automatic. The prices for 7206 bracelets are rather high these days....
