Legitimacy of Rolex 6426

Hi everyone, i’m new here. Not sure if i’m at the right place but I just wanted to check in on a 6426 that my relative got hold of and will pass it to me. Unfortunately i do not have the physical watch hence the photo quality might not be the clearest.

One thing that stuck out like a sore thumb to me is definitely the typeface of the serial number. Would anyone be able to help me in determining if this is indeed a legitimate rolex?

Thank you in advance

I'm not seeing any obvious problems at first glance.

I'd be pretty stoked if a relative passed that to me, look at the case profile when you get it. Beautiful, the old 34mm manual case sides. Good for you OP.

All good. Original sunburst t swiss t dial (dial style without HR lume plots) for 3.3m in really good shape too.
Very likely service plexi and crown and handset too, as they have no tarnishing. Pop it under l.e.d light see if they lume up bright green.
Either way, doesn't affect value of watch. This is the thin bezel version wears slightly larger. Very nice manual no date 34mm.
One of the best things about 6426/6694 is that the fakers, up to now, have not bothered faking cases that much (reprinted/fake often coloured dials yes, but not cases, so far) - that'll change in a few years no doubt.

Yep - looks genuine to me. Identical to my Dad's 1977 one.
