This model keeps me thinking
I have this Tudor Ranger;
http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/m...a/IMG_0678.jpg http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/m...a/IMG_0679.jpg and I am pretty sure that unfortunately it is not the real deal. That's when I started looking for info on the Ranger I. The info on this model and what is out there for sale, is confusing to say the least. This is what intrigues me: The case model is 90520 which I saw in a database belongs to a Tudor Oyster-date case. The closest Ranger model# I found in a database is 90220. Does this mean that the 90520 case could never have been used by Tudor for the Ranger model? Assuming that the case# gives it away as not being a proper Ranger, then what's going on here? Did they put a geniune Ranger dial in a Oyster-date case? or is the dial a fake (for which it seems almost too well done) What intrigues me is why people go through so much trouble fabricating a watch which is not a high end watch (unless these Rangers command prices I'm not aware of) Anyway, lots of thoughts about this model that keep me searching for more info. If you have it let me know. |
