GMT IIc
Can anyone point me to an AD in the Midlands that might give a discount for the GMT IIc?

Most ADs you can squeeze a discount, but thats up to your bargaining skills. If one wont discount just walk away, and find one that will, its a buyers market at the moment.

I suggest you buy it here in the For Sale section. The prices here are very much lower than an AD could ever give. Try DavidSW.

I agree. I bought one from him a little over a week ago. He had the watch to me the next day.

Good call on the EJ discount with a Signet card Harvey.
As far as I know, you'll be hard-pressed to find a discount from an AD on SS models...unless you have a relationship or a friend with a good relationship. You may be able to get a discount from my AD in Nottingham (East Mids) - Goldsmiths at Nottingham City Centre - ask for Lisa (she's the Manager) and has helped a couple of my friends from TRF get solid deals on their watches! You may also want to find a non-UK resident who's a friend of yours to buy the watch for you and get the 12% VAT back for you.... Good luck! |

I can hook you up with my local AD, great bunch of people - I'm sure they'd help you out with a bit of discount.

I am selling my 3 month old GMT11C due to a severe lack of wrist time - I now ride my MTB to work now and dont want to damage it, therefore it gets zero usage.
Less than 3 days wear in total and as you can imagine the watch is totally unmarked. Looking for a realistic price - reflecting the "as new" condition of the watch. PM me for details & pics if interested. |

Haha, no doubt the fine people on the forum can secure a great deal, but UK ADs are notoriously rigid on their discounting policies (to which I was referring in my original post). Looking on here is certainly an excellent alternative

they best way to purchase from david sw is to go and collect the watch yourself from the states.... if not you could get hit with duty from HMRC when it comes into the uk and you would have to pay the duty
